Two of the three survivors of a downed rescue helicopter have been allowed to go home

The trio miraculously made it through a night on the sub-Antarctic Auckland Island.
Their helicopter went down as they responded to a medical evacuation on Monday night.
They had been recovering in Southland Hospital.
Southern District Health Board says winchman Lester Stevens and paramedic John Lambeth have been discharged.
Pilot Andrew Hefford remains in hospital - in a stable condition.
