The Wellington Phoenix will have to contend with an anxious flight across the ditch as they await their A-League playoff fate

The Wellington Phoenix will have to contend with an anxious flight across the ditch as they await their A-League playoff fate

The fifth placed 'Nix face Perth on Sunday and will still be in the running for a home playoff if Adelaide fail to win against Brisbane this afternoon.

The Phoenix fly out to Australia at 5pm and coach Mark Rudan says they'll be able to watch the first half of the Adelaide match in the departure lounge.

Rudan says they'll have no idea what's going to happen in the second half unless there's WIFI on the plane.

The match between Adelaide and Brisbane is just getting underway.
