Wellington could experience gusts up to 100 kilometres an hour today

Downpours have drenched the capital this morning with a total rainfall of 14 millimetres already.
MetService Meteorologist Sarah Haddon says there's also a strong wind watch in place.
She says those gusts will be felt in very exposed places and on higher ground.
Snow is also forecast for the South Island's Porters Pass, Lindis Pass, Crown Range Road and Milford Road.
