Last year, Insurance Australia Group changed the premiums for its AMI and State Insurance customers.
It meant some areas had an average premium increase of 91-dollars - and others an average cut of 54-dollars.
Herald Business reporter Duncan Bridgeman says other IAG customers who live in areas prone to natural disasters and severe weather may also have to pay more for insurance - from July first.
He says every house will be assessed as to risk and weather events in their area and the modules will be adjusted accordingly.
