    Insurance is likely to cost you more .... if your home is vulnerable to natural disasters



    From July, Insurance Australia Group will put more weight on earthquakes and severe-weather risks, for home and contents premiums.

    AMI, NZI and State customers will be affected, as will people insuring through ASB, BNZ, The Co-Operative Bank and Westpac.

    IAG spokesman, Kevin Hughes,says the changes will be on a case by case basis.

    He says if your in northland you're likely to get a decrease, and if you're on the east coast from Gisborne down to Canterbury you might get an increase.
