Police are concerned about meth's growing prominence in New Zealand

They've released figures showing 16 kilograms of methamphetamine is consumed every week.
It's most commonly found in Northland, whereas cocaine is prevalent in Auckland - and MDMA in Canterbury.
Assistant Commissioner of Investigations, Serious and Organised Crime, Richard Chambers, says they've tested wastewater to get the clearest reading they've ever had, of drug use around the country.
He says they tested for a number of illicit drugs, and methamphetamine was by far the most common.
