Northern Stars coach hoping to persuade Kayla Cullen to play ANZ Premiership netball
Northern Stars coach Kiri Wells is hoping a close relationship with defender Kayla Cullen could help persuade her to play with the ANZ Premiership netball franchise in 2020
5 May 2019
Cullen will move to Sydney in the off season to be with fiance and rugby league player Shaun Johnson.
Wells is hopeful that Cullen's playing days with the Stars isn't over, as she has a great relationship with the New Zealand representative.
But she says admits there's a lot of water to go under the bridge before that happens.
Wells says she still has to re-apply for her job, before they can consider making an offer.
The Stars continue their current campaign against the Tactix as a part of Super Sunday in Invercargill from 6.10pm.
The Pulse and Magic open the day's play at 2.10pm, followed by the Steel against the Mystics at 4.10pm.
