The Central Pulse have held off a determined Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic side to open proceedings on Super Sunday in netball's ANZ Premiership

The competition leaders have won 53-45, to extend their win streak to 12 games.

Pulse captain Katrina Rore says the Magic showed their desperation while they were a little off their game.
