It's despite a top Australian law firm backing a class action alleging government-owned insurance company Southern Response underpaid claimants.
There could be as many as three-thousand people left shortchanged by around 300-million dollars.
Jacinda Ardern couldn't comment on the matter specifically, as it's before the court, but says they've made in-roads on claims that had stalled.
She says 50 percent of outstanding claims with Southern Response have been resolved, along with 76 percent of EQC claims.
