The Southern District Health Board is considering renaming the Isis Centre - at Wakari Psychiatric Hospital.
General manager Glenn Symon says the centre was named more than 20 years ago - when a number of community services and programmes were brought together
He says it stood for "one service - one site."
Symon says the DHB understand people's misgivings about the title - and they're considering their options.
