Tasman Traders owner, Daryl McCaughan , says rising rates, wages, dump fees and health and safety costs are forcing him out of business.
He's been in the second-hand clothing and rags business for 30-years - the third generation in a family business.
McCaughan says his grandfather started up in the 1940's - going around on horseback and swapping wash powder for clothing.
Tasman Traders will be closing in a few weeks .
