Calls for the government to step in to stop a foreign water bottle plant opening in the Bay of Plenty

Locals are rallying today on Omanu beach, in an effort to stop the plant from operating.
Greater Tauranga says the Cresswell NZ plant at Otakiri Springs would produce around half a billion bottles of New Zealand water per year.
Spokesperson, Heidi Hughes, says it might be good in the short term, but there are plenty of downstream negative effects of the water bottling business.
