The sailing world has been put on notice, Peter Burling and Blair Tuke are back to their dominant best in the 49er class

The sailing world has been put on notice, Peter Burling and Blair Tuke are back to their dominant best in the 49er class

The Olympic champions have won the European Championships in Weymouth, just their third regatta back following a lengthy break after the Rio Olympics.

Tuke says all their major rivals were at the Europeans so the result is encouraging.

He says it definitely gives them a boost in confidence because it has been strange coming back into the class after not being involved for some time.

Alex Maloney and Molly Meech have finished 4th in the 49er FX class.
