    At least two people have been injured in serious crashes on rural North Island roads


    Fire crews near Poukawa south of Hastings had to free the driver of a car that rolled into a paddock off Middle Rd just after 4pm.

    The driver was trapped in the upside down vehicle.

    Firefighters were also needed to free another injured driver trapped in a milk tanker that rolled on a rural Taranaki road near Stratford shortly after 1pm.

    The driver had serious injuries.
