    The search for a man missing after the car he was in plunged into King Country's Awakino River, has been suspended

    The search for a man missing after the car he was in plunged into King Country's Awakino River, has been suspended


    Another man who was in the car with him, but managed to escape, reported the State Highway 3 crash near the Awakino Tunnel around 6pm Monday.

    Police are also looking for that man.

    A search was carried out on Monday night and yesterday but nobody was found.
