    A man has been arrested after fleeing from police in Christchurch


    The man failed to stop for police at the intersection of Bower Ave and Travis Road in New Brighton just before 10am.

    Police followed the vehicle and used road spikes stopping the car on Russell Street.

    A police spokesperson says the vehicle will be impounded.
