An employer has been sentenced to 60 hours community work and fined 65-thousand dollars for failing to keep a worker safe.
Bradford Dibble was sentenced in Waitakere District Court yesterday - after a worker received an electric shock and injuries when trimming branches next to a power line in 2016.
He was also ordered to pay the worker 20-thousand dollars in reparation.
WorkSafe's Steve Kelly says the potential for accidents is very high - so it's important not to cut corners.
