Twenty-eight search and rescue staff, two dogs, and a helicopter will be out looking for missing Canterbury tramper Timothy Clements today

The 36-year-old didn't turn up on Monday after tramping in the Ashburton Lakes area.

Six Search and Rescue volunteers stayed last night in the bush, with a rescue dog.

Anyone who may have seen Clements is being asked to contact police.
