    A man's been arrested after a five-hour stand-off in Invercargill


    Police and the Armed Offenders Squad were called to a family harm incident on Dee Street about 7.15 last night.

    An eight-block area in the central city was cordoned off for five hours.

    A woman walked out of the property, without injuries, about 9.30 last night.

    Police arrested a man about 9.30pm.
