Emergency room staff are hoping for a decent investment in mental health, as Budget Day creeps closer

The government will announce its response to the Mental Health and Addiction inquiry tomorrow - before the full wellbeing budget is released on Thursday.
It comes as analysis by the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine finds the number of people turning up at the emergency ward with a mental health crisis has nearly doubled from 2017 to 2018.
College President-Elect Dr John Bonning says the departments will always be there to deal with crises.
But he says they're the ambulance at the bottom of the cliff.. and there needs to be more investment in prevention.
