Concerns Westland District Council doesn't have ability to clean up after flooding hit the region

There are concerns the Westland District Council doesn't have the ability to clean up after flooding and bad weather hit the region

Recent floodwaters breached an old landfill near the Fox River- washing tonnes of rubbish into the waterway.

Conservation Minister Eugenie Sage the council doesn't seem to have the funds for the clean up.

She says the Government has already given the council more than 300-thousand-dollars towards the recovery.
