Indication from the Government that the lives of mental health survivors matter

Indication from the Government that the lives of mental health survivors matter

It's investing 1.9 billion dollars in improving mental health and addiction services as part of this year's Wellbeing Budget.

It also includes a 455 million dollar package to offer front line services to tackle major problems.

Voices of Hope mental health advocacy group co-founder Jazz Thornton says it's surpassed her expectations.

She says had she had this level of support, she could almost guarantee several of her suicide attempts would have been prevented.
