A message for travellers, this Queens Birthday weekend
A message for travellers, this Queens Birthday weekend
31 May 2019
With heavy traffic and changeable weather conditions, Police are asking drivers to stick to a safe speed for conditions, wear seatbelts and don't drive if you're tired.
Police will have an active and visible presence throughout the weekend, targeting high-risk driving behaviours.
Police's National Manager of Road Policing Superintendent, Steve Greally, says there have been more than 160 deaths on our roads this year.
He doesn't want anyone to be killed or hurt on the road, and that can be avoided by sticking to the basic rules.
