    The Agricultural Minister is defending changes to the laws around the dairy industry

    The government has announced farmers will continue to have open entry supply, but Fonterra will be allowed to turn down milk.

    Damien O'Connor says he thinks they have the regulations right.

    He says they need to have a balance that keeps Fonterra honest to share holders and competitive, while not being unfairly disadvantaged by competitors in the industry.
