7 June 2019
The victim was attacked last Sunday morning at the Kakamatua Inlet in Cornwallis.
Police say a man with two children and a dog kicked the victim in the head, as he went to put his pup on a leash.
He was knocked unconscious and suffered a broken jaw.
Police are looking for any sightings of the group - which includes a heavy-set Caucasian man in his forties, two blonde boys around 8 to 10 years old, and a golden curly-haired dog.
