Police believe there's growing demand for meth in the Otago Lakes area

Detective Senior Sergeant Malcolm Inglis has told the OTD police are aware of a rise in the likes of Queenstown, Cromwell, and Alexandra.
He says gang members are visiting Queenstown more often, probably to spend the proceeds of their drug dealing.
Inglis says there are signs of a growing problem for the area that everyone needs to be aware of.
Three gangs - King Cobras, Mongrel Mob, and Head Hunters - are the most visible.
Police don't want to see gangs buying property in the region, and want to hear from anyone with information on property purchases with gang links.
