Six men and five women have been arrested after a drugs sting in Palmerston North

Six men and five women have been arrested after a drugs sting in Palmerston North

Methamphetamine, a firearm, ammunition and a taser were seized when properties in the area were raided.

Police say members of the Nomad gang were among those arrested, including the vice president.

Altogether, the group faces more than 60 charges.

Detective Sergeant Johnny Oram - from the Manawatu Organised Crime Unit - says the operation's been running since February this year and further arrests are likely.

Eight people were remanded in custody to re-appear in July.
