    Two firefighters tackling a house fire near Carterton have been taken to hospital with moderate injuries


    There are seven fire appliances and four specialist appliances battling a blaze in the second story of the house.

    Firefighters have been battling the blaze since 6.30pm.

    Meanwhile in Auckland a fire in a commercial building In Great South Road Takanini is under control and crews are damping down.
