The Matildas have come from 2-nil down midway through the first half to beat Brazil 3-2.
Player of the match Chloe Logarzo says it took them a while to settle into the game.
She says they kept the ball on the ground and were able to connect their passes.
A win in their final pool game against Jamaica will likely see Australia qualify for the knockout rounds.
