The Highlanders have scraped into the Super Rugby quarter finals

The Highlanders have scraped into the Super Rugby quarter finals

The Brumbies have beaten the Reds 40-27, the Sharks have edged the Stormers 12-9, while the Bulls have run riot 48-27 over the Lions.

That means the Highlanders will face the Crusaders in Christchurch on Friday, the Hurricanes will host the Bulls on Saturday, the Chiefs will travel to Buenos Aires to play the Jaguares and the Brumbies and Sharks will meet in Canberra.

The Blues already knew they wouldn't be there.

Leon MacDonald's men have conceded 24 unanswered points in the second half to lose 29-24 to the Hurricanes in Wellington.
