Every 48 hours a kiwi business requests the 'New Zealand Made' brand to be stamped on its product

Every 48 hours a kiwi business requests the 'New Zealand Made' brand to be stamped on its product

The past year has seen a rapid uptake of businesses wanting the mark with a record 151 businesses making an application.

But Buy NZ Made Executive Director Ryan Jennings says the purpose of the stamp is slowly evolving.

He says it's designed to make New Zealanders feel proud and loyal to buying local as well as reassure international markets that products made here can be trusted.

Jennings says in a growing competitive market, the stamp gives kiwis the edge.
