There may be more to former ANZ boss David Hisco's departure

He left the job yesterday after after red flags were raised over his personal expenses.

Tens of thousands of dollars were billed to the company for things like wine storage and chauffeur-driven cars.

Massey University banking specialist David Tripe says his departure does seem a little bit surprising on the surface.

He says it wouldn't surprise him if there was more too it, but one of the problems is they don't a lot about why things have happened.
