Frost warning to motorists around the country

There's frost around much of the country and motorists are being urged to drive to the conditions

Pukaki, near Twizel, dropped to minus-7 overnight.

Mount Cook plunged to minus 6.3 degrees, while Dunedin, Queenstown and Taumaranui all saw lows of minus 4.

Police and the Transport Agency are reminding drivers not to take careless risks.

Road Policing National Manager Superintendent Steve Greally, says ice, snow, fog and wet weather can hit quickly, so people need to be prepared.
