Construction growth has driven inflation in the first three months of this year

The inflation rate for the year to March reached 2.7 percent.
Stats NZ says the increase in construction reflects higher investment in both residential and non-residential buildings.
It was tempered by subdued results in the service sector, which represents about two-thirds of the economy.
