Avocado thieves are leaving local growers out of pocket

Tauranga grower Neville Cooper has been robbed twice this month, four times last year and once the year before that, forcing him to install cameras and electric fences.
Cooper says in the past month, thieves would've taken up to 4-thousand dollars worth of the fruit.
He says because avocados are so expensive this time of year, it's quick, easy money for the criminals.
