New Zealanders are being warned not to eat raw mussels

A food poisoning outbreak over the past six weeks has forced the temporary closure of a mussel-growing area in the Coromandel.
NZ Food Safety's director of food regulation Paul Dansted says the area will remain closed while investigations continue.
In the meantime, Kiwis are being urged to take care when handling, preparing, and consuming mussels.
