    Three golds for New Zealand on day one of finals action at the Asia-Pacific bowls championship on the Gold Coast


    Men's pair Gary Lawson and Shannon McIlroy have been the latest to win, pipping Australia 19-18.

    Jo Edwards has thumped Carmen Anderson of Norfolk Island 21-6 in the women's single.

    The women's four of Val Smith, Wendy Jensen, Kirsten Edwards and Katelyn Inch, took New Zealand's first gold, easing past Malaysia 17-6 in the final.
