National MP Maggie Barry is squashing claims of filibustering over the End of Life Choice Bill
24 June 2019
Barry is leading a group of MPs opposed to the Bill, with plans to propose more than a hundred amendments if it passes its second reading.
Act leader David Seymour says it is nonsense to claim it isn't filibustering.
But Barry says they're not being mischievous, the bill just isn't fit-for-purpose.
She says if it's the will of the House that a bill of this sort be passed, then they will make sure it is as tight as possible to protect the vulnerable.
