Avocado thefts are still on the rise

130 avocado thefts have been provisionally recorded in the past six months, up from 110 last year.
Tauranga growers Liz Pratt and Neville Cooper had 5500 dollars of avocados stolen in June.
They believe they're being sold on the black market to sushi shops.
Chief Executive of Avocado New Zealand Jen Scoular says, it's heartbreaking for growers.
