Silver Ferns coach Noeline Taurua has praised Maria Folau's courage

Silver Ferns coach Noeline Taurua has praised Maria Folau's courage

Folau has come under fire for her support of husband, Israel, who's embroiled in a contract dispute with Rugby Australia over divisive tweets.

It's led two major netball sponsors on both sides of the Tasman to publicly distance themselves from the netballer.

Taurua says says it had been hard on Folau, but she's holding up and sticking to the job at hand.

She says at the end of the day she's married to him and clearly loves him.

And she says she's couldn't be prouder of the way she's fully committed to the team amidst it all.

The Silver Ferns are in the middle of warm-up matches ahead of the World Cup, to be held in England in two weeks.
