    Tom Walsh admits he's surprised at the performance of Darlan Romani


    The Brazilian shot putter has won the latest Diamond League event in California, with a personal best throw of 22.61 metres.

    Walsh finished third throwing 21.76.

    The Kiwi says he knew Romani was good, but he was still caught off guard by his efforts.

    Walsh says Romani had four throws over 22 metres and four new personal bests so he was shocked by that.
