The Otago Nuggets are returning to the New Zealand basketball league

The Otago Nuggets are returning to the New Zealand basketball league

The Otago bid was one of three the NBL Board recently met to discuss, with the bids received from Franklin Basketball and Mount Gambier to be known shortly.

Basketball Otago has been granted provisional entry for 2020 with final requirements to be submitted by early next month.

Final requirements include an agreed financial operational base and appointment of a key management resource.

If the deadline isn't met, the entry will be deferred to the 2021 season.
