Heavy rain could see more wastewater seep into Lake Taupo

Residents are still being asked to refrain from flushing or using excess amounts of water.
A water main burst on Tuesday, causing a large washout and leaking 800 thousand litres of wastewater into the lake.
The community was warned yesterday it could take up to five days for things to return to normal - but weather forecasts mean it's more likely to take another week.
Drinking water across the district isn't affected - but people are being advised not to enter the water, including the Waikato River.
