    Tim Wilkinson come within whisker of winning on US second tier golf tour

    Tim Wilkinson has come within a whisker of winning on the US second tier golf tour that would have all but secured his PGA Tour card for next season


    He's lost at the first playoff hole to American Ryan Brehm after the American double-bogeyed the last hole to give Wilkinson a shot at the title in regulation.

    Wilkinson syas he just missed a 20 foot putt for the win.

    Wilkinson is up to 14th in the tour standings with the top 25 earning their PGA Tour cards for next season.

    There are five tournaments remaining.
