The American is through to the Wimbledon semi finals after battling past compatriot Alison Riske in three sets.
She will face veteran Czech Barbora Strycova who upset Britain's Jo Konta in straight sets.
Williams says she's finally healthy again after struggling all year.
She says the key word is getting fit and getting back into match play so she is injury free and is playing tennis which she hasn't been able to do all year.
Simona Halep and Elena Svitolina are through to the other semi final.
New Zealand's Marcus Daniell has lost his men's doubles quarter final in straight sets.
