The Government's being urged to up the ante on roading projects across the country, even if it means going into debt

The Government's being urged to up the ante on roading projects across the country, even if it means going into debt

The Prime Minister's Business Advisory Council says infrastructure is at a crisis point and is urging for progress to be made on 12 stalled roading projects.

Infrastructure New Zealand CEO, Stephen Selwood, says it's important for Governments to invest in infrastructure.

He says it's nation-building and investment for the long-term.

Selwood says taxes, private investment and selling off assets could be used to pay for infrastructure.
