Family's unplanned night in bush serves as reminder to always be prepared
A Wellington family's unplanned night in the bush serves as a reminder to always prepare for an unexpected night out

A dad and his 14 and 11 year old daughters were found in the southern area of the East Harbour Regional Park this morning.
Police say the family are tired and hungry but happy to be home with mum.
Mountain Safety Council CEO Mike Daisley says people should always bring basic equipment with them on day walks.
He says that includes things like a head torch, spare food and a jacket.
He says it might seem a bit overkill for a couple of hours in the bush but it could make all the difference.
