The Commerce Commission has given Infratil approval to buy up to 50 percent of Vodafone New Zealand

Approval was needed for the 3.4 billion dollar deal as Infratil also has a 51 percent stake in Trustpower which has been bundling fast internet with its power plans.
The Commission says it's satisfied Infratil's shareholding in both Vodafone and Trustpower will not substantially lessen competition in any of the markets it assessed.
