A jail term for a burglar who stole Christmas presents from a solo mother in Auckland ... and re-gifted them

A jail term for a burglar who stole Christmas presents from a solo mother in Auckland ... and re-gifted them

Vashni Ulufale was arrested and charged with burglary in December in a Police investigation dubbed Operation Bad Santa.

Eleven days before Christmas, he broke into a Hillcrest home and stole items including presents from under the tree.

Days later, after the woman alerted police to the thief selling her things online, officers executed a search warrant at Ulufale's South Auckland home.
