Investors in Ross Asset Management have today filed a claim against ANZ, alleging it was negligent in its management of the failed financial advice firm's accounts.
ANZ has already spent years in a legal battle with the Financial Markets Authority.
That's been over the FMA releasing information to investors about ANZ's management of the accounts.
FMA chief executive Rob Everett says the matter raises important questions around bankers' duties.
He says he's pleased they will now be tested in court.
ANZ says it strongly denies the investors's allegations.
